We love a good chalky finish wall paint and we hope you do too! Our water-based, stain resistant formula is the practical choice for making over any room of the house. To help give you some inspiration, we’ve assembled three unique ways you can use Rust-OleuChalky Wall Paint to bring style and colour to your walls.

Don’t forget to tag us on Instagram (@paintpeople_uk) if you try any of these, we love seeing your designs!

1 - Classic, timeless and modern

You don’t always need to pick a vibrant tone to make a big change to a room. To give your room a classic and bright appearance choose the colour Chalk White. This is especially perfect for smaller spaces as the white is light reflective and gives the illusion of a bigger room.

What’s more, you don’t need to worry about scuffs and stains ruining your clean white walls. The premium formula not only looks good but is scrubbable (tested to ISO 11998 Class 1 Wet Scrub Rated) so stubborn stains can be removed without any damage to the paint finish.

2 - Make a statement

Use darker colours to create a statement or feature wall. Create this ‘wow’ factor by painting one wall of your room a bold, dark colour such as Ink Blue and then choose complimentary neutrals for every other wall. With 16 gorgeous colours to choose from, this durable formula has excellent coverage – so there’s no need for you to spend hours building up coats to achieve this look.

Top tip: your statement wall will be the focal point of a room. Consider the rooms layout and choose the wall in the most appropriate space. E.g. behind the headboard in a bedroom or behind a mantelpiece.

3 - Pops of pastel

Stay on trend by choosing the pastel colours in the Chalky Wall Paint range to give your room a spring/summer vibe all year round. The colours ‘Powder Blue’ and ‘China Rose’ are perfect choices for this, giving your room a luxurious, chic and sophisticated feel.

Not only can this be used in any room of the house, it’s ideal for a child's bedroom as the scrubbable formula is also water-based and virtually odourless.

Top tip: Consider using contrasting pastel shades in the same room for an original design.
