Got a lot of leftover paint that you don't want to waste? Use it up by following this easy DIY to create your own fridge magnets or Christmas Tree decorations. It's great for kids so you can get the whole family involved.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Air drying clay
- Paint brushes
- Left over paint - Painter's Touch Brush Paint or Rust-Oleum Glitter are perfect
- Cardboard or sheet to cover your surfaces
- Magnets (Required if creating fridge magnets)
STEP 1 - PREPARATION:
Make sure your surfaces are well covered before you start - we used cardboard but you can use anything you have to hand including newspaper or a dust sheet.
Mold your clay into shapes of your choice. We went for a circle and stars but you can be as creative here as you want! Don't forget to leave a hole in the top if you are creating a Christmas decoration.
Paint your clay - you may need to give your clay several coats to get full coverage.
Display your designs with pride. You can either put some magnets on the back and use as fridge magnets or you hang as decorations on your Christmas tree,
Don't forget to let us see your designs - you can share them with us by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org - you never know, we may just feature yours!
