Instructions for use

Why

Chalkboard Paint is perfect for walls, wood, metal, plastic, paper and most other surfaces – please test on a small area first to check adhesion and compatibility.

Prepare It

Previously painted surfaces should be lightly abraded to provide a key. Bare metal and wood should be suitably primed prior to painting.

Apply It

Apply paint with a soft brush using light even strokes taking care to avoid unsightly runs. 2 coats required, apply at a coverage rate of 10m²/L/coat.

Dry It

Dries to touch in 30-60 minutes. Drying times are based on warm (15oC), dry applications conditions with good ventilation. Lower temperatures and higher humidity will prolong drying times.

Allow at least 2 hours between coats. When fully dry (24hrs) prepare the surface for use by rubbing the side of the chalk over the entire surface. Erase and surface is ready to use.

Cover It

The following should be used as a guide only. Coverages are approximately 1.25m² / 750ml, dependent on the kind of surface being painted.

Clean It

Clean brushes immediately after use with water
