Instructions for use

Why

A quick-drying, ultra-tough heat-resistant finish designed for stoves and BBQs.

Prepare it

Ensure surfaces to be painted are free from loose paint, rust, wax, oil and grease. Previously painted surfaces should be abraded to provide a key. Cover surrounding areas to protect from spray mist.

Apply It

Shake can vigorously for 1 minute after mixing ball begins to rattle, continue to shake regularly during use. Hold can 30cm from surface and spray in a steady back and forth motion, slightly overlapping with each stroke. For best results whilst spraying keep the can the same distance from the surface and keep the can in motion. Apply several light coats a few minutes apart.

Dry It

Touch dry in 30 minutes. Hard dry in 24 hours. Recoat after 30 minutes. Drying times are based on warm (15°C), dry application conditions with good ventilation. Lower temperatures and higher humidity will prolong the drying times. Allow 24 hours after application before gradually raising the temperature of the painted item up to full operating temperature (max 650°C).

Cover It

A 400ml can covers approximately 2.5m2 dependent upon surface profile / porosity.

Clean It

To clear spray for future use, turn can upside down and spray until clear gas is emitted.

Limitations

Not suitable for application to areas subjected to direct contact with flames. Apply only when temperature is between 10-32°C and relative humidity below 85%. Special precautions should be taken during the surface preparation of pre 1960's paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead. When dry-sanding avoid dust inhalation by wearing a suitable protective face mask. A copy of the appropriate Health & Safety Data Sheet should be consulted prior to using the product. For further information please contact our Technical Services Department.

Store It

3 years (unopened) from date of manufacture. (See base of can).
