    Instructions for use

    Why

A quick-drying primer designed to provide a tight bond for spray painting on bare or painted wood, metal, ceramics and more.

    Prepare It

Ensure surfaces to be painted are free from loose paint, rust, wax, oil and grease. Previously painted surfaces should be abraded to provide a key. Cap and/or label indicate approximate colour and finish. Cover surrounding areas to protect from spray mist.

    Apply It

Shake can vigorously for 1 minute after mixing ball begins to rattle, continue to shake regularly during use. Hold can 30cm from surface and spray in a steady back and forth motion, slightly overlapping with each stroke. For best results whilst spraying keep the can the same distance from the surface and keep the can in motion. Apply several light coats a few minutes apart.

    Dry It

Touch dry in 20 minutes. Hard dry 24 hours. Recoat within 20 minutes. Drying times are based on warm (15°C), dry application conditions with good ventilation. Lower temperatures and higher humidity will prolong the drying times. 1-2 coats recommended.

    Cover It

A 400ml can covers approximately 2m2 per coat dependent upon surface profile / porosity.

    Clean It

After use invert can and spray for 2-3 seconds to clear the spray nozzle.

What else do I need to know?

    Limitations

Do not use on galvanised steel or surfaces that regularly exceed temperatures over 90°C. Apply only when temperature is between 10-32°C and relative humidity below 85%. Special precautions should be taken during the surface preparation of pre 1960's paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead. When dry-sanding avoid dust inhalation by wearing a suitable protective face mask. A copy of the appropriate Health & Safety Data

Sheet should be consulted prior to using the product. For further information please contact our Technical Services Department.
