Instructions for use

Why

Ideal for use on wood, metal, most plastics, paper and most other surfaces. Please test on a small area first to check adhesion and compatibility.

Prepare It

Stir well before use. Use only when temperature is between 10-32°C and humidity is below 85% to ensure proper drying. Previously painted surfaces should be lightly abraded to provide a key. Bare metal and wood should be suitably primed prior to painting. Apply paint with a soft brush using light even strokes taking care to avoid unsightly runs.

Apply It

Stir thoroughly before use. Apply 1-2 coats with a brush or short pile mohair roller. For roller application lay off immediately with a brush. For best performance on non-ferrous or galvanised metals use Universal Special Metals Primer prior to application. For porous surfaces dilute first coat with 10% white spirit.

Dry It

Dries to touch in 30-60 minutes. Drying times are based on warm (15°C), dry application conditions with good ventilation. Lower temperatures and higher humidity will prolong he drying times.

Allow at least 2 hours between coats. 2 coats recommended.

Cover It

250ml – 1.25m² (inc. 2 coats) depending on surface profile / porosity.

Clean It

Clean brushes immediately after use with water.

What else do I need to know?

Store It

Store in a dry, safe place. Do not store paint in environments where extreme temperatures may occur. Keep within 5-30⁰C. Do not store in direct sunlight. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of colour, due to limitations of the print process, colour / finish shown is for guidance only.
