Instructions for use
Where
Use on any white UPVC.
Prepare It
It’s incredibly easy to use; just lightly sand to scratch the surface (this gives it a bit of a key) and make sure it’s clean and dry. You don’t even need a primer or undercoat since this single pack, water based coating will bond really well without one.
Apply It
Give it a good stir and simply apply one or two coats using a brush or roller. UPVC Paint is highly concentrated and a little goes a long way. If you are using it outside, choose a dry day when rain is not forecast. Don’t apply it if the temperature falls below 10°C or goes above 30°C.
Dry It
It’s touch dry in 1 hour, and if a second coat is required this can be applied after 4 hours (based on warm drying conditions at around 15°C with good ventilation). If more than 5 days elapse, the first coat should be lightly abraded before the second coat is applied.
Cover It
If you are using a roller you can expect coverage of 30-35m² per 2.5L; (if you apply it with a brush the coverage will be reduced since it will tend to go on a bit thicker).
Clean It
Brushes and rollers can be easily cleaned with water.
What else do I need to know?
Store It
Store at temperatures above 10°C. The shelf life of UPVC Paint, if unopened, is one year. Do not allow to freeze.
