Description

When you need extra grip on a slippery step, tile or flagstone, then Firmtread Anti Slip Treads will do the trick.

Our treads have a tough, resin-bonded aluminium oxide surface (which provides a long lasting, gritty finish) and a water-resistant, pressure-sensitive adhesive backing. These treads will stick to most non-porous surfaces, such as varnished wood. They are suitable for use indoors and outdoors. Customers tell us they use them a wide range of areas, from cellars to attics and even on boats where slipping could be very dangerous.

We recommend you use our Firmtread Tapes Edge Sealer as this will stop water getting under the tapes and prolong their life and safety properties. You simply run it evenly along the edges of the tread. You don't need to apply it thickly, just in an even film so water can't get in. Squeeze the tube as you would a tube of toothpaste.

Apart from that they can be used without any prior preparation beyond making sure the surface to which you are fixing them to is clean, dry and free from loose materials and dirt. It really is that simple. We also recommend a coat of varnish or paint to seal porous, gritty surfaces.

Each tread is 600mm x 150mm. Available in black and clear, they are sold in packs of 5.
